Personally, I prefer works like "Garlands" and "Head Over Heals" to the hits and more celebrated albums of the "dreamy" turn. Of course, there were many similarities with other contemporary bands and artists, but also a more genuine approach that is less "affected" in its subject matter.

One of the most hermetic and difficult-to-digest groups in the field.. This is probably their most "listenable" work, and moderately accessible.. A good starting point, to then perhaps venture into the more "uncomfortable" chapters of their rich discography..

Even the works from the first half of the '80s are absolutely not... For me, for example, I really like "Speaking In Tongues"... The review is a bit too emphatic, a collection of somewhat forced images, and sometimes not the easiest to understand...

One of the most interesting tracks on the album is a bonus track included in the '92 CD edition, "Work 242 N.Off Is N.Off," which I believe is an alternative version of the titular song, almost foreshadowing some "tribal" progressions of a certain club culture.. Truly ahead of its time..

Live, they are much more acoustic, slightly downplaying the Electronics (always present) and accentuating their Indie streak.. I didn't mind them at all, in any case.. ;-)
