Great review. I may be odd, but I've always found Everything But The Girl, who in theory should have all the right elements to appeal to me, rather flat and somewhat... depressing (in all their multiple shades). Alright, I'll give it another try.

I wouldn't want to be a bother, but still, this is the fifth review of an album that didn't exactly come out yesterday and was recorded by a musician who has already been widely praised over the decades (on DeBaser and elsewhere). I mean, wouldn't it be better to use your good pen to uncover some underground gems, some little-known albums, instead of always rehashing the same names? Of course, you can do whatever you want; it was just a humble suggestion that I felt compelled to give you.

I must say that I didn't know this person at all (my companion did), I listened to the first track of the album and I liked it. Maybe the rest of the album is horrible, but that seems like too harsh a judgment to me (I see nothing wrong in making good pop music). I'll listen and let you know.
