Davide Matrisciano - Libidal (La Cellula Records / Maxsound)

42 tracks. Three CDs. An impressive number of high-level guest artists. That's the new album by Davide Matrisciano in numbers. But we don't stop there. There are at least a dozen potential singles, with pop appeal heading for the charts ("Terrore per adulti", "Luglio", "Heater Parisi" to name just a few). And then there's an impressive cohesiveness that gives the triple CD the shape of a monolith forged with the sound of 80s synth-pop, clear references to bands from this decade (Human League, Depeche Mode above all), with extravagant titles introducing very original lyrics that give the project a significant authorial and singer-songwriter aura.
