I like this story filled with personal anecdotes. Rome at night is always incredible. Regarding the concert, perhaps the setlist from the "Playing the Angel" tour would have been more captivating, but the Depeche Mode are (almost) always worth the price of admission.

Great record, perhaps excellent, but for me not worth 5 stars. The contrast between orchestrations and electronic rhythms at times feels a bit dated or redundant, but still well done. Overall, it seems to me a more intimate and melodic album, which smooths out the aggression of some of his previous work (like "I Care Because You Do"). I like it.
