Hal is just a matter of opinions, and as the great Clint Eastwood says, opinions are like balls, everyone has their own!

I'm glad you understood how Morphine sounds just from Janis's feelings, but you see, feelings are a personal thing, and it doesn't mean that two people who love the same album feel the same way... and that's better that way... the beauty of the world is that we are all different, and art enhances these differences, highlights them!!... so try to understand my point of view on why reviews like this one (even though I like them) leave me a little perplexed.

Hal, I liked the review too (but I was wondering if I liked it because I know the album... and if I didn't know it, would I have liked it?). Every now and then, I have to explain my comments, even the obvious ones like this: THE RATING LEAVES NO DOUBT! But apparently, it seems forbidden to ask questions; some people here get too easily scandalized... I believe that one can express their opinion in a comment, can’t they? Is someone perhaps so presumptuous that they think they hold the scepter of truth in their hands? P.S. What is Wikipedia?

Aldo, the soundtrack is good, I don't know if the CD was ever released, anyway there are two tracks by Tom Waits (from Rain Dogs) and the other music is by John Lurie... maybe the one from Night On Earth (in Italian Tassisti di Notte) is more interesting, which is also by Tom Waits.

Antonino and Caz explained to me badly; when I talked about easy listening, I certainly wasn't referring to this album! I agree with you about The Final Cut, Antonino.

It's probably not a masterpiece, but I've always liked this album!

I don't speak badly of josi! Anyway, what matters is the structure of the song and not what instruments it's played with... at least that's how I see it.

Big Brother, even if I don’t recognize myself in your description, I welcome the insights because they enrich the cultural baggage of passions (in this case, cinema and music)... however, I don’t think that’s the problem; in fact, I’m sure it’s not! You see, I like to say what I think (even if sometimes it may be things that go against everything and everyone, even if sometimes I’m just a voice out of the choir and that’s not a good thing for hypocrites like the anonymous one above!... I have no difficulty sharing the passion for music; rather, it’s others who seem to have some issues... even if I haven’t noticed... unfortunately for me? But who cares! P.S. Who is Google?
Jeff Buckley Grace
Voto:
Tommaso, I just wanted to say that Cohen's song Hallelujah was covered before Jeff by John Cale. And it is very clear that Buckley draws from the former Velvet member's version more than from Cohen's original, which differed greatly both in terms of sound and lyrics.
