Johnny Cash American III: Solitary Man
Voto:
Exclusively means exclusively!! Cash, in his long career, has made many records and maintained certain characteristics over time, a trademark, but not all albums are the same; they differ not only by era but also, and above all, by the quality of the songs, sometimes excellent, other times a little less so. Talking about a Cash album without mentioning the songs contained within it is like talking about everyone and no particular record at all. For example, the "American Recordings" are four in total, not counting the box set... in short, providing a little more information is not and should not be a rule, but for certain artists, I truly believe it is a necessity.

Exactly! The fact that it is no longer considered for what it is says it all!

Beautiful review.

One of the many beautiful, moving, and intense records by Cash, but the review lacks information about the songs. Talking about albums like this, which are based solely on the quality of the songs, while only describing personal feelings can give a misleading impression of the album. Anyway, congratulations on reviewing a Johnny album, which is certainly not something everyone can do!

Leonard Cohen Dear Heather

Hal, I respect your judgment; my comment was simply meant to shed light (in the most objective way possible) on why Cohen's record has faced some disappointment, which for me remains unjustified, given a solid understanding of his discography. In any case, I share your opinion regarding the issue of innovation, which in this case refers solely to Cohen's music. I probably used the wrong word; I assert that he simply chose a different path. Then again, tastes are tastes—imagine the sensations...
