Low is a masterpiece, but to fully understand its complexity, it should be associated with the following contemporaries: Heroes and The Idiot and Lust For Life by Iggy Pop (of which he is practically the co-author). The importance of Eno's presence is as fundamental as the inspiration of the city where the album was conceived! In any case, it's a fundamental, innovative, inspired, magical album that is perpetually oriented towards the future!

Dear anonymous, this is not exaltation, it's KNOWLEDGE! I recommend you listen to Ballad Of A Thin Man in which Dylan admonished all the “limited” people like you “There oughta to be a law against you comin’ round / You should be made to wear earphones”!!

The most precious stone is Like A Rolling Stone, especially on a historical level! It was the first single that lasted longer than the usual three or two and a half minutes; it was the song that showed everyone that more could be done! Over the years, many musicians have cited it as the most important song of their musical lives, among them I recall Frank Zappa, the Beatles, and the Rolling Stones.

I quote from the website Maggie's Farm (the Italian site for Dylan): "Paul McCartney stated about Bob Dylan's album Blonde on Blonde that it would never be possible in the future to make a record of that level."... Almost 30 years later, we can say that McCartney has yet to be proven wrong!

I Want You: the lyrics of the song are quoted in the song of the same title by Lennon on Abbey Road!

Other curiosities about the songs: It is said that the melody of "Norwegian Wood" was stolen by Lennon from Dylan, who reused it for his "4th Time Around" (the melodies of the two songs are identical). It can easily be noted that the lyrics are a sort of parody of the Beatles' lyrics!

It's not like that; just look at how much they sell and how many people fill the stadiums at concerts of those who are considered the champions of "made in Italy" rock like Vasco Rossi and Ligabue.

I haven't seen Vincent Gallo's second film "The Brown Bunny" yet, but his debut film "Buffalo '66" is a marvel; only a great director at the beginning of their career could make a film like that... not to mention that Gallo didn't just direct the film, but also wrote it (based on his original idea), starred in it, and composed the music for it!.. and then there's also Ben Gazzara... could it get any better than this!...

A genius! One of the most beautiful albums of 2001! To everyone who loves this particular sound, I recommend Gallo's single "So Sad," a truly wonderful song! And for those who love soundtracks, his Recordings Of Music For Films is absolutely unmissable.
