I remember very well that not only did they recommend the reading of the novel, but they actually sent me home with this book in hand, on loan. The reading was a mission to be completed with extreme urgency. But it hadn’t excited me. I hardly remember anything about the story, except that for sure Donna Flor cooked wonderfully!
