Maybe your judgment is too blunt, but I must admit that I too remain astonished by twin infinitives... and I'm speaking as someone who loves dissonances, distortions, feedback, and everything else. I can appreciate the Faust you mentioned, for example, but I have to admit this one is different for me... good review, I can't vote for the album because I don't rule out that the problem might be mine... in fact, I would like someone who appreciates the album to share their reasons with me.

I remember his collaboration with Rich for Stalker..great album inspired by the film of the same name by Tarkovsky..equally great..

Until '92, Cave alternated masterpieces with great albums.. this is for me one of the great albums.. the review captures it well..

An album that has never driven me crazy... they did much better (Screamadelica and Exterminator), but also much worse (Riot City Blues and Vanishing Point) in my opinion...
