Rio is a symbol of the eighties. Personally, I find it excellent and honestly, I don't understand the detractors of the pop trend attributable to Duran, who marked that era with songs that will remain in history. I don't think the same will happen with Blur.

I couldn't care less about the gestation; the final product is magnificent. Alan Parsons is known to be a mediocre composer (in fact, the mind behind the project is Woolfson, not him), but he’s a sound technician with balls. The Pink Floyd start creating masterpieces with Meddle and end with The Final Cut, that is, from the moment Waters takes charge of the band's stylistic decisions. The rest is a bore.
