However, if you have better things to do, go ahead.

Let’s talk about a genius, almost embarrassingly great, and surrounded by extraordinary musicians.
I seem to remember a beautiful album, perhaps not among his top three or four, but still positioned at a very high standard.
The work is narrated in a light and amusing way. The cousin with the Donovan records seems to have stepped out of a song by Elio e Le Storie Tese.
Well done ErosGiannini.

This is the record of my life.
I grew up going over and over every single groove of the two vinyls and spending hours discussing it with other enthusiasts of "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" from my school.
Except for the note regarding the undeniable (but irrelevant) technical flaws, and the lack of interest in the solo careers of Genesis (which I share), I completely disagree with what has been written, aimed at identifying this work as a sign of a supposed artistic "evolution."
For me, The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway is, by far, the greatest album of English progressive rock and, of course, of the entire Genesis discography.
To consider it inferior to Trick Of The Tail is, then, to take a few steps into delusion.
As for the rest, these are things that have already been said and repeated, about a work that is now almost half a century old.

I've always said that the arrival of punk was a wave that revitalized music and the customs of an era, so before I go on a rampage like this, I prefer, like De...Marga..., to count to ten, wait, and see.
And then the same De André, who found words in defense of his captors, the bandit shepherds of the "hotel supramonte," would smile and accept it, I'm sure.
But De André "a silly juggler of words"... no come on... I can't take it.
Especially since the album chosen for the attack is one of his most difficult and convoluted records, not among my favorites.
If they had picked "Non al denaro non all'amore né al cielo," I would have lost it.
No stars this time. Let's see how the people of Deb react.

Thank you, Odradek, for the link. Stimulated and curious thanks to Cialtronius, I'll watch it tonight.

I haven't seen the film, not even the first act, but I suspect this review perfectly captures the essence of the work. Well done.

Van Morrison might be my favorite singer. I get really annoyed when I see the author of "Astral Weeks" classified under categories like "adult contemporary" (almost like a porn movie) or, worse, "blue-eyed soul" in some old music guide.
Van Morrison is Van Morrison, perhaps the greatest of all. This review, filled with intimate thoughts and feelings, moves away from those ridiculous categories and gives this fantastic artist what he deserves: the sharing of emotions and personal memories (stuff worth more than gold) and gratitude. Kudos.

A review based on passion... of course, it's very much in my wheelhouse and I can't help but like it. Moreover, there’s an intriguing and original element, which is the friendship towards the music and musicians that have accompanied us throughout our lives. I had never seen the matter from this perspective, which is yet another (and original) interpretation of musical passion. I don’t know the album, but at this point, I trust the reviewer. Congratulations.

Anyway, I would have gone for it anyway. With the two ugly ones, I mean. Never throw anything away. You never know. I've had adventures with literally fantastic plain girls. Just total disasters with some girls considered "hot." I'm also a fan of the "ugly ones." Then, of course, there’s a limit...
