I imagine you still keep doing solos, right?
(damn my soul for Primavera, I missed them to see Radiohead... it was a tough choice)

From a non "clubber," back then Leftism was a "curious" discovery (I don't know why, but in my mind I always associate it with Decksanddrumsandrocknroll by Propellerhead... maybe I was listening to them around the same time, who knows). I don't think I'll ever listen to it, but you've made me want to revisit Leftism.

:) I have to get these back sooner or later

One moment... Are you telling me that the capital of Sweden is not Stockholm? :O (This is a real question, I’m terrible at geography but I was totally convinced about this))

they are huge. I don't have this but Nemesis Divina is unforgettable for those who have had a past as a crap dealer.

This album is my best discovery of last year.
Truly impactful from the very start; a beautiful voice and fantastic melodies.
On the sacredness, you do well to emphasize it... when I listened to this album with a friend who knows English much better than I do (and on certain things is much more polarized than I am), she brushed it off quite quickly as narrow-minded...
Personally, I am fascinated by the fact that a woman with such a background can be dismissed like that by another woman with quite a significant background herself :D

How can one not agree with the first paragraph? These unheard of Rodan and the post-rock scene of Louisville always resonate with me, so I take note ;(

I'm answering your comment here on the review of Nik Drake that seems to have disappeared... what I don't like about the style of these two reviews you sent.
1) They're two classic albums that are heavily reviewed (but who cares if someone has something to add)
2) You used the word "sweet" so much that I got diabetes (and as for it being really sweet, well...)
3) A bit of a random reference... the part about the VU, Zappa, the Captain? WHATEVER.
4) "Bob Dylan, with whom he shares, by the way, this incredible poetic vein and interest in British literature (in the case of Van Morrison, it’s about James Joyce)." That Joyce is Irish I'll let slide for poetic license, but I don't really understand what this phrase means just thrown in there.
5) The reference to Leicester... excuse me, but I would like football to stay out of a review of Astral Weeks (though it could make sense if there were a sensible connection).

But of course... I don't have anything to teach anyone.
From your lines, it seems you're quite young and maybe you're discovering these classics these days and writing in a wave of enthusiasm (which is very positive) but, well, these reviews (from my point of view) don't leave me much. I look for something else in my readings here.

Was I thorough enough? :)

Sorry, but I don't really like your style in tackling these classics...the grade is in relation to the Deb average, which has fortunately recently gone back to being very high :)
