I don't understand why you are the only one who seems to be writing about Kendric. He is one of the few characters/artists in recent years that I'm starting to feel affection for already.

Never heard of it, but I see that, for example, it also produced FKA twigs. I've watched a couple of videos and it kind of unsettles me (but is it really legless?) even though I haven't formed a strong opinion musically. However, I don't understand the connection with Anohni (when he was Anthony, he was doing stuff that doesn’t seem related, and then I completely lost track of him/her). By the way...what the hell kind of name did he/she choose?

Anyway, thinking about it, the crux of the long-winded speech wasn't so much how we're fake snobs, etc., but rather: once music (art, if you will) stops being a challenge that defines us, that makes us take sides, in which we see ourselves... what will remain? Just simple playfulness? Will it lose its appeal? Is it really that important?

Beautiful page and album that I am greatly reassessing over time.
I understand that the tone of the review is of a certain kind, but it would have been interesting to at least mention the participation of cLOUDLED to this album. It's also true that electronics are very present (especially what they call glitch), but there are also a lot of classic instruments (both string and wind) that fill the songs. The only flaw that initially made me wrinkle my nose a bit is the lethargic singing, but I must say that over time I’m starting to feel it integrates quite well into this great album overall.

Even Slipknot comes from IOWA :D
By the way, those states in the middle of the USA make me feel an endless sadness (even though I’ve never lived there, just an impression en passant)... and damn, how many times do these Americans move in their lives?
It's a thing, you know, having the freedom to move around so much (and it seems to be quite normal in their culture), but there's always that sense of No Roots that brings you down.

Ah, there's also Recchioni's friend with his blog for many but not for everyone, whose witty anhedonic cynicism makes me want to throw some pizzas in his face.

describe this scene well... it really feels like reading a VICE article on what I think about the scene, and I won’t say anything about VICE because then I just seem like the usual pathetic reactionary.

Can you believe it... practically right behind my house. What a thing, if I had come 20 years ago I would have even biked here. :D
