I loved this book when I was a kid; along with Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, it features that beautiful narrative style that talks about "grown-up" children facing life. With these books, I always think of meadows, sweat, hedges, and summer evenings running away from home... :)

For the review, I think you could have said more. The mockingbird in the title probably deserved a deeper exploration. Part of the beauty of the book lies in the parallelism between the fears and prejudices of adults and those of children.

oh how beautiful this Jamaican vein you’ve uncovered.
I know zero (except for Bob Marley’s discography and a bit of Tosh) but it really seems like stuff that I could like.

You have to listen to Drake. Some of his stuff that plays on the radio doesn't bother me.

Oh, I listened to her anyway, but I was a bit disappointed. She's nice and all, but a bit cliché.
She could have used more Afro accents (but that's just my taste)... more than anything, she reminds me too much of FKA Twigs, but not as well.
For me, M.I.A. drives me crazy (the video for Borders is awesome, and she's a beautiful woman who seems to improve with age).

My dream is to put together a band made up of people born from Nigeria downwards, who have never listened to rock music and who manage to break into the indie scene, but why not also pop, blending the desire for pussy, the misanthropy of black metal, and Afrocentric tropicalism. Like that of buondì.

Incredible: I only just realized today that Paolo Belli was the singer of Ladri di Biciclette :O
With the success he had with "sotto questo Sole" (which I like a lot), it’s really strange to me that he disappeared from the music scene.
A couple of years ago, I went to rehearsals in the little room behind my house, lost in the countryside, and there he was, super chill, recording his album and joking about his South American tour... and I thought: "who the hell cares about you? There's no way I’d go on tour with you."
And instead, look at what an idiot I am!

Always a pleasure to read. You made me want to put on new panties and boots again.
