Dear @Gab82, forgive me but I’m revising my rating for the review. It would be a 3 and to balance out my 4, I’ll give it a 2. I overlooked one little thing: "my opinion is that this is still passable, not comparable to the golden ones." A bit controversial as a point. If you give a 5 to a passable album compared to the golden ones, what do you give? 15? On Debaser, it’s not possible…

This album really got on my nerves back in '95 because of "Io per lei," which hammered on the radio for 3-4 months. Such a drag... Maybe calling it a 5 is a bit excessive, but the album wasn't exactly a masterpiece, come on, a 3 isn’t too far off. A bit too pop-ish though... The lyrics sometimes leave a lot to be desired.

Do you know why? The review has been visible since yesterday and there was only one comment. Yes, I was saying that jokingly "they really exist"..., because they're not easily found, obviously due to the dictatorship of the major record labels that prefer the usual names.

Wow. They really exist. I found them on Ondarock. There's nothing on Wiki; if you click on Betularia, a big butterfly pops up. But I'll give you a 3 for your friendliness and your charm...

He did better... Especially during the first 6-7 years of his career. Here, it was already starting to fade.

@Punisher!, you got what I meant! Indeed, I often feel them, in a less obvious way, masked by interpretations and totally different styles, but this one hit me hard. After reviewing Vecchioni, the same Fossati and Faber, I was almost regretting writing down this stuff. Thank you for the support...

I know 7 or 8 tracks from this album. Not bad "La canzone di Alain Delon" and "Cin cin". For the rest, it's a mix of annoying electronic sounds. Bianconi is a pain in the ass when he sings...

Vote 2 just for the epic car on the cover (Ford Taunus early '70s???). 3 to the reviewer for the courage.

@Blu, Let me give you an example: "High time we went" by Joe Cocker from 1968-70 or thereabouts and "Diavolo in me" by Zucchero from '89. They are two peas in a pod, just like in this case. As for "Anna e Marco," it has nothing to do with Fossati's.
Voto:
Well @SUONOONOUS, you answered yourself. Since you don't know if Fossati belongs to the great heap of mass consumption (and trust me, he doesn't!), don't make sweeping judgments about all Italian music just out of bias. It's easier to find it on RadioRai in the dead of night... Maybe on RDS they play other kinds of crap that I'm not used to listening to.
