Luckily, I found a copy at Feltrinelli for 5.90.. as soon as I saw it, I bought it without hesitation.. the title track is immense and "gazzelloni" drives me crazy as well.. in my opinion (though I'm not very experienced), this should be a masterpiece of free.. but if anyone has other albums to recommend in this field, I would gladly welcome any suggestions..

I like it a lot for a purely aesthetic reason, in the sense that I listen to it without understanding music, but while I do, it’s an extreme pleasure.. in short, I don’t know why but I like it so much.

Okay, I'll try to track down these bushman's revenge, I'm especially interested because you mentioned jazzcore, a sound that I've been quite into lately. As for Ufomammut, I think they've been stuck since Lucifer Songs... it's just my impression. I liked both Morto and Mostro by Morkobot, and I consider them a really great band with a quite personal sound.

In fact, I didn't say it's a commercial album; I just said it's more listenable compared to "Strap It On," their masterpiece. I'm perfectly clear-headed, and the proof is that I didn't give this CD a 5.

He's right; you can't argue against him about the helmets.

I also listened to the Ufomammut CD streaming on the Supernatural website and I was pretty perplexed. Idolum didn't convince me either... they stuck to a formula that feels quite stale and derivative. Plus, the only track is a formula already tested by many other bands in the genre; I don’t see what they can add to what has already been said by bands like Sleep, for example. As far as I’m concerned, MORKOBOT from the same label are much better, much more experimental and modern.

I listened to their CD titled "Bedlam in Goliath," but I didn't understand what genre they play.. too much chaos.. the guitar is overly processed, it gives me the impression of being overdubbed so many times that the sound feels too pumped up, I would say unnatural, and that effeminate voice I can't stand.

I wanted to get 3, I'll average it out.

the first one is better as Scaruffi also says, here they are commercialized. Strap It On was more noise, this one instead inspired the new metal movement.. anyway, the beginning of the end for Helmet. The rest of their production is honestly negligible.. :P
