James Abbott McNeill Whistler Arrangement in Grey and Black - The Artist's Mother

Seen at the Orsay, I must admit it's not really my thing... maybe Mr. Bean has influenced me a bit :) you are amazing!!

I'm not particularly a fan of Elton John, but here I have to fully agree with you. A really nice record, the only one for me worth mentioning since Rocket Man and Daniel. Overwhelming madness and then there’s the legendary Song for Guy.

Maci: from your comment, it seems to me that you are referring to me. I don't believe I have disrespected anyone, nor criticized others' tastes, nor attacked anyone outright; I didn’t even say that Highway 61 is better than Rubber Soul. I apologize if I have hurt your feelings; however, I also apologize if I misunderstood and thought you were referring to me. I've been here a short while, and the last thing I want is to argue and insult other users of the site. Aloha!

Sure, Darkeve, no controversy from me either, and I agree with you, Rubber Soul is definitely a big step forward for the Beatles, a psychedelic journey that started here and was definitively consecrated in the next (and excellent) "Revolver". Now I have to go, my pasta is boiling over :)

And then it doesn't matter if an album is released a few days or months early, or late; the release date means nothing in terms of the quality of an album. Who knows when an artist started creating a work and how long it took them to complete it? If an album is made in 3 months and comes out before one that's made in 1 year, it doesn’t mean it’s better or that the creator arrived first at an innovative idea.

Surely someone more experienced than me will come up with others.

The reviewer, by mistakenly citing the release date of the album, misled me; otherwise, there would be plenty of better and more cutting-edge albums to list than this one, which, let it be clear, I do not despise. Since we're talking about '65, one is enough: "Highway 61 Revisited".... The Beatles were still making the little songs of "Help!".

The first 3 lines make me nervous... enough with the "embellishments," tricks to sell (especially around Christmas). If an album is decrepit, it should remain that way, untouched and free of unnecessary frills and bonus tracks. 20 euros? They should be ashamed! An immature and naïve album, from a psychedelic-innovative perspective, considering what was being released in the USA that same year. The track by track on the Beatles is a bit embarrassing.
