Donny darco. So, let's put it this way, the problem with these compilations (I have an identical one titled Voodoo Chile) is that they are poorly assembled, without any logical thread. Furthermore, they do not include any notes on the origin of the tracks. Generally, they have some strengths; for example, mine includes Voodoo Chile, Little Wing, Red House, Fire, Purple Haze, and Wild Thing, all live. The first two are excellent and are taken from the Royal Albert Hall, while I'm uncertain about the provenance of the others, although it’s likely they also come from the Royal Albert Hall (I realized this only by listening to snippets of the concert online). So far, we can say it's a nice compilation, but the rest consists of a series of poorly recorded jam sessions of dubious origin, and improvised duets that seem more like simple rehearsals than real tracks, moreover released dozens of times in different compilations with only the title changing. I bet there are several tracks "featuring Lonnie Youngblood"; if so, it’s just like mine. Let’s say, if you already have the main albums, then it’s a product that might interest you, but I would never recommend it to someone who doesn’t know Hendrix. And Scaruffi says it too: "if one were to judge Hendrix by the avalanche of posthumous releases, he would seem nothing exceptional"; now those aren't exactly the words, but the essence is there, one of the few shareable thoughts of Scaruffi. Ciao Dolly l'arco. You earned the 5 for how you stood your ground.
