Beautiful, but Lungo i Bordi remains the best (according to me), a four and a half for this one.
Bob Marley Live!

Oh my God, No Woman No Cry here, every time a thrill. Spectacular record, not to mention Babylon by Bus, another orgasm that one.
Frank Zappa Lumpy Gravy

Smart, cultured, friendly, with a sharp sense of humor. An excellent musician, brilliant and outstanding composer. From another planet. It's not an "easy" record to listen to, especially on the first few listens, but once it captures you, it never lets you go.
Deep Purple Come Taste The Band

...I hadn't noticed it before...Bonzo reviewing Deep Purple...basically you're advertising the competition. You went a bit overboard with the track by track, but hey, you put in passion, 5.
Fugazi In On The Kill Taker
Voto:
no bullshit, great album, rend it my favorite, but the whole album is worth as much gold as it weighs, actually I’d say even more.
Deep Purple Come Taste The Band

I think Bolin did a good job on this record, but live he seemed a bit lacking. I Need Love is a really nice track.
Queen A Kind of Magic
Voto:
Yes, yes, okay, the issue isn't about liking vs. not liking; it's just that personally, I don't believe that music is an exact science, so I don't think it's possible to absolutely prove whether one album is worth more or less than another, that's all. I believe it's possible to reach broadly shared or shareable judgments, but they are still opinions, not mathematics. However, this doesn't mean we can't have discussions and, through the discussion, broaden our horizons and maybe even change our minds. Now I'm stepping out of this long and exhausting discussion because I've had enough.
Gillan Gillan (aka The Japanese Album)
Voto:
Yes, frenk, I was referring to Gillan, not the album.
Gillan Gillan (aka The Japanese Album)

this is what made the eardrums of the Japanese jump a bit in the summer of '72, right?
Queen A Kind of Magic

@ Larrok, I apologize for the scatter of my responses. It might seem like a trivial and silly thing, but in fact, I think there's very little that's objective. Take for example two fairly well-known and important music critics, R. Bertoncelli and P. Scaruffi, and look at their judgments on Queen's albums. On this they agree, giving scores of 2/5 and 4/10 respectively. But then Bertoncelli gives Innuendo a 1/5 while Scaruffi gives it a 6/10, quite a difference. According to Bertoncelli, Innuendo is absolutely terrible, the dregs of dregs, worse than A Kind Of Magic, while for Scaruffi, it's overall a valid album. They are both experts, they've studied music history, they've listened to a ton of music, yet their judgments are very divergent. Can we perhaps say that one is more competent than the other? Who is right? Both? Neither? Or maybe it simply circles back to the fact that, in the end, personal taste is always and anyway what most influences a judgment?
