I'm at my wit's end, to the point that I won't even go to see them live tomorrow night.

Could you explain to me which part of this "cippa" I wouldn't have understood?

This is his best solo album, perhaps on par with the self-titled one. A handful of good songs, well arranged, that sometimes made me think of a guitar-driven version of certain tracks from "Sea Change." I would say that Beck has earned his keep this year, considering that even Thurston Moore's album is more than respectable (in fact, in that case, I think it's safe to say it's his best solo album).

I swear I thought the same about Minor Threat. Sparkles cover? I’m missing this live and I’m grabbing it in a rush.

Better live than on record, as far as I'm concerned.

What a treatise on devolutionist sociology, congratulations. They are absolutely great and influential on so much Hardcore from those places (ask Mike Watt).

A huge album, he is my crazy diamond from the Sixties!

The new EP by Braid is crap, though. This is a proper album; among the hard to the core stuff this year, only the giants Gazebo Penguins and Fucked Up (outside the borders) are better. I missed the new one by Raein; I’ll give it a try now, calmly.
