Michael Jackson Off The Wall

I rated your review four stars because I really like how you wrote it. Regarding the content, I apologize, but I cannot agree with what you've said. Those who complain that TV, newspapers, etc. have incessantly talked about the death of this "great" artist are right. However, we must remember that behind the death of the "King of Pop" lies a mystery. MJ belongs to that group of figures like (Lady D, Marilyn Monroe, Jim Morrison, Elvis), where the aura of mystery surrounding their deaths is destined to remain for eternity, in a sense. They will always talk about it; this is certain. Musically, it's not exactly my genre, but there are many songs I like. What do I think of Britney Spears? I'll respond anyway, even though I'm not a hardcore fan of Michael Jackson. I believe that personalities like Britney Spears, Paris Hilton (who has nothing to do with music), and even Madonna, ultimately, are good at creating hype and generating gossip (nothing more). Things that have nothing to do with music. It's well known that everyone is making records now, and everyone is doing rock. MJ was also a dancer, a choreographer; how many pop artists have drawn inspiration from him? Well... Michael Jackson is NOT the one from your review (which is good, yes, but a bit biased). MJ is a character who is very loved and at the same time also hated, and when an artist manages to evoke such feelings in people (positive or negative), it means there's something good there. He did quite a bit of charity work (just take a look online), and at least his fame was not built on the backs of others. I think he got what he deserved, unlike many individuals in the entertainment world who don't even know how to earn a living.

@ ale9T... I know that the new album by Anathema was supposed to be released in November, but I don’t think it will come out even by the end of the year. They still have to reveal the title of the album; it was supposed to be called Horizons, but I feel like it’s not going to be that anymore...

More than anything, I misspoke; I meant to say that I've read a lot of negative comments about this Katatonia album. However, as I wrote above, it’s a matter of taste, so even though I’m basing my thoughts on what others say, it doesn’t mean they are right. Once I listen to the album, I’ll be able to tell you more. :):)

@ Raiden... as far as I'm concerned, since I haven't listened to the album yet, I'll stay out of both the comments and the review. XD. XD. We'll see later: p

@ Casamorta.. there are two of us :P. So.. I haven't listened to this new work by Katatonia yet. I've decided to wait until November 2 to buy it. However.. I see that others haven't been very happy with this album. On the other hand, up to now, Katatonia has made three very beautiful albums (especially the last one "The Great Cold Distance"). So a slight misstep can happen, of course I'm basing this on the trust of the comments from hell and gasta, etc.:). In the end, everyone has their own tastes; I still haven't listened to anything, even though the temptation to go on YouTube is strong, I've resisted. P.S. (Am I the only one with the patience to wait for an album's release)?! XD

@ DSalva... don't you like Sopor Aeternus? :P Well, after all, everyone has their own musical tastes. I saw that you wrote a review on RPWL, a beautiful progressive band, God Has Failed along with World Through My Eyes remain my favorite albums :).

Thank you for the comment on the review too :):).

I The Darkness I kind of liked with their 70s glam style, then "One Way Ticket To Hell... And Back" was an album I didn't mind, some tracks were inspired by bands like Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Queen, etc., it was an interesting group, too bad... everything else you've written in the review. The album piques my curiosity; I'll look into it, even though I've already heard a little something from Hot Leg in the past. The Stone Gods don't resonate much with me.

@Workhorse...who are you telling :p. Before discovering this immense artist, I thought Sopor Aeternus was just another Doom Metal or Black Metal band. Then I dug deeper and discovered a great artist...
