It seems to me that "rhythmic speed" and "bass power" are two defining characteristics of hc-punk... there aren’t just the Ramones... I can agree with you on Philty, he is the only real metalhead of the group. Then again, it’s obvious that we’re talking about a band that operates on the borders of various genres of "hard" rock, including a certain type of metal. To finish: it was Lemmy himself who defined the genre of Motörhead as "punk metal": if he says so... :-)

I share Vortex's speech. The use of bass, the compositional technique, and the "roadie" approach of Kilmister and company bring them much closer to a form of extreme punk'n'roll than to heavy metal in general. Bands like Gluecifer and Peter Pan Speedrock are, in fact, the modern version of Motorhead, and it doesn't seem that anyone calls them "metal." That said, despite Robertson's excellent work, this album is definitely not a 4-star one.

Always dear to me was the splendid Turin... I'm 100% of its blood. The MCs, to quote Kosmo, are not "my cup of tea." Long reception and track by track stuff. But you're from Turin, so I forgive you.

I commented on one of your writings some time ago, in a civil manner and arguing my points (obviously antithetical to yours). I received no reply. So, you know what I say? You preach well but practice poorly. You want a confrontation, but as soon as someone steps onto your own field, you run away. Democracy? Like the Italian one, where the majority daily redefines the rules of the game to have a free hand? With the legitimate impediment and the lists of the PDL in Lazio, you have crossed every limit. What democracy, there should be bombs here.

Beautiful review, I agree with everything, even though it doesn't come through clearly in the writing that this is our Neil's most "blues-oriented" album (just take a look at the titles)...together with "after...", the best work of Young.
