@PANIC: a link? I enjoy the review too, even though, as Bartle says, the line between nonsense and sense is very thin. I mean, the vocabulary is as intricate as (I believe) the musical proposal. Alright, see you.

Indeed, as I write, it is my piece of the year ;)

@ALEXX: indeed, disc 2 doesn't quite reach the levels of the first one; there are some parts that might be a bit tiring, but the penultimate track ("Share the Words") is a funk bomb that alone makes the whole disc worth it. Plus, there are also The Rest is Noise, Something Familiar... well, it was clear that I really like this album! Thanks for the share :)

Like good PROGROCK, I've always preferred the GLB. But you have good taste, huh.

beautiful. I know them by name; they are part of the myriad of groups listed on the wanted list. Mention a few groups that I adore (MBV, JMC)...if we also throw in the cover of "The Drowners" by Suede, I think I really need to make it mine. Well done!

oh, thanks to the last passersby. @Fosca: your writing actually inspired me to write the review. @Algol: exactly! @Fedezan: no, I only watch Brazilian telenovelas :) @Pinkholler: thanks Simo!

Lazlow is not obligated; he's invited. If he doesn't want to provide explanations, he's completely free to do so. As for my review, perhaps you didn't understand a fundamental point: I am not against reviews that talk about personal experiences and emotions. In fact, those are the ones I like the most: I enjoy when a person, while talking about themselves, discusses their favorite music. In fact, I said that if this is the case with Lazlow's review, then fine, I'm the first to appreciate the quality of writing and courage. I am not bothered by personal stories; what bothers me is the (alleged, I emphasize: alleged) untruthfulness of the described experiences, used solely to "embellish" the review. That's why I would like some clarification. What is there to understand? I thought I had already specified these things... oh well, you didn't get it. As for "the emphasis of Supertramp": hey, I'm not an old fogey who gets scandalized when someone mentions the word "drugs"! A joke, a light tone can also be fine. However, Lazlow's review seems to have much more dramatic tones, which, I repeat, if not truthful and therefore INSTRUMENTAL, annoy me.

I respond to you: I know Come musically (I even voted for the album), but not the personal story of Zedek. Regarding the rest: the theme of drugs hits close to home for me, both due to personal and professional experiences, so I get a bit hot under the collar when such topics are treated with apparent (I emphasize: apparent) superficiality. I repeat that the judgment on the user is suspended; I await their response where they can clarify the reasons for the review better. However, there is a conceptual inaccuracy in your statement: the point is not whether drugs are involved with the group in question; the point is that the user refers to themselves and their alleged experiences in the writing, and I have scrutinized that. Now: if those experiences are real, and here I answer you, I appreciate the courage to talk about them, to do so in a lyrically valid way, whether behind a screen or in front of a thousand people, it makes no difference to me (it does to you, different perspectives). However, if those experiences are not real and are used only to "embellish" the writing, they irritate me, due to the ordeals I’ve gone through and which I mentioned above. I see nothing authoritarian in this; it’s just an opinion. That my opinions may sometimes be colorful, well, I’m an impulsive type. As for the statement about adolescents: indeed, it’s a bit "moralizing," I realize that. Anyway, I repeat: judgment suspended. Thank you for the exchange, always stimulating. I hope I made myself clear.

Thank you all. Before the responses, I want to reiterate the advice: listen to this album. @Core: are you healed? @ILMigliore: I don’t know, the review concerns the album as a whole, meaning both discs. @Fedezan: of course, for me it's not a defeat either. I purposely exaggerated the tones a bit to make the review more "engaging" (hee hee). It's normal for the passion of the early years to wane, but in compensation, a great inner balance emerges, a great serenity. And at 35, I believe one needs the latter more than the former. @Anders: give it a try, you never know.
