Excuses to the Debaserian intelligentsia, I'll just step in for a moment, then I'll get out of the way. Just to say that I agree with Azzo when he says it's not an album that makes you want to "put it back on" very often. But this, personally, is an effect that almost all MV albums have on me. Few listens, but good ones. Among other things, it's something that Mimì himself says too. @FIQUATA: you like Wavves/Blank Dogs and you trash the latest MV; yes, yes, you’re indiesnob :)

I feel like sharing almost every word of the review, even though it's brief and doesn't say much about the album. This is perhaps their best work, no doubt about it. So tight, the MV have never sounded like this on record. It just feels very indie-snob to dismiss the (few) Italian bands that are worth something. And I include the FBYC in this. An album for forty-year-olds? Let's not talk nonsense. This is an album that speaks to those who are willing to listen.

Well, I've always preferred Lynyrd by far, more visceral, more "streetwise"... these guys are too self-indulgent. They must have been quite a hit live, though.

I don't agree. In my opinion, this is nice but not special, hence it went unnoticed. The first one remains their best work. With "Velocity...", they conformed to a hypervitaminized indie punk that was very popular at the time. Schneider is still a good writer. Good review.
