it all seems like incredible bullshit to me, I don't know. The critics have torn it apart, branding it as unbearable, also due to the much-feared scenes of gratuitous violence that make the film a real provocation. von Trier is becoming more and more of a trademark, but it can't always go well for him: the intention here is to shock at all costs and right from the title you can tell where he wants to go, or rather what he wants to achieve. 47, you’ve found a ton of meanings, but then you say that "the film is unresolved, disorienting at any cost, deliberately unethical"... exactly, how many films have been described this way? nothing new under the sun; for once, I will listen to the critics and save my ticket money.
