link rotto this one is also very nice: "My father always encouraged me to become a scientist. However, once, when I was returning home from MIT (the university where I had been for a few years), he said to me: ‘Now that you have had some education on these topics, there’s something we need to clarify that I never fully understood.’
I asked him what it was about.
‘It seems to me that when an atom transitions from one state to another, it emits a particle of light called a photon.’
‘That’s right.’
‘Does the photon exist in the atom beforehand?’ ‘No, there is no photon before.’
‘But then where does it come from? How does it pop out?’
I tried to explain - that the number of photons is not conserved, that it is created by the motion of the electron - but I couldn’t make my explanation sound right. ‘It’s like the sound I’m making now; it wasn’t in me before.’ (Not like the day when my son, who was very small, told me he could no longer pronounce a certain word, which turned out to be ‘cat,’ because he had exhausted it in his ‘word bag.’ There is no word bag from which we draw to let them out; in the same way, there is no bag of photons in the atom.)
My father was not satisfied with my efforts. I was never able to explain the things he didn’t understand. In that, he had failed: he sent me to all those universities to discover them, but he never discovered them himself.
My mother, on the other hand, knew nothing about science, yet she also had a great influence on me. She had a wonderful sense of humor, and from her, I learned that the highest forms of understanding we can achieve are laughter and human compassion..."

Very nice review, but in some ways they are similar to God is an Astronaut or that myriad of similar bands. In short, in these cases either the spark ignites or it becomes tiresome—probably more of the latter in my case. The sounds, the melodies, the structures are all heavily overused... personally, I now have a rejection towards this type of musical approach, gnafò!
