Billy Joel Piano Man

You probably weren't born yet, but I've already spoken differently about hits like Honesty in the comments of the other "review" of Piano Man. And forget about platinum records; even Pink Floyd are box office champions, and most people who own one of their albums don't even know what they're listening to (not to mention the fact that they’re unlikely to find an Ummagumma in their hands). In short, sales and merits (even if they exist) don’t always go hand in hand. Anyway, it's fine as it is. Joel was overrated back then to the point that today only a few care about him, yet he continues to sell with his Best Of.

Judging an artist based on the national market? Not at all, I judge what I feel. And if Joel doesn't sell as he should in Italy, I say without hesitation that he is underrated. De André is a different story, and the fact that he doesn't get airplay on Finnish radio is yet another. Billy Joel is Pop, and he should be on the radio. Elton John, who is often associated with Joel (partially incorrectly, partially not), has sold over two hundred – 200 – million records. I don't consider him superior to Joel: is the former overrated or the latter underrated?

In Italy and on DeBaser, yes! I would send it to the radio at full blast.

Never intended to imply anything like that. You answered yourself with that "on the American market." Moreover, if you reflect on the meaning of "underrated," you can easily understand that even with fame and success, you can still be it. I don't see anything strange about that. As for DeBaser... let's not even go there.

People were quite pushy in my review to say that Joel wasn't that underestimated after all, but this review is proof of that. If little was said in mine, this one provides more clarity, clarity that is being majorly overlooked.

You can always make up for it with a double five.

Thank you for the clarifications, dear DeAmici. I must say that I don't like this policy; it reminds me exactly of what happens in politics. I’m not doing favors for the big shots.

But still, I'm not clear: does his derangement grow just by not reciprocating my de-feeling?

No, but last night I was talking about true love. About the un-love, I've been intending to love her for a few days now. The review, in my opinion, isn't that great; I preferred the previous one (which, as you may have noticed today on the homepage, also "worked").
