If I understand you correctly, I would say it’s quite subjective. Well, Sassolini is born a singer, Fiumani adapts and expresses himself as best he can, resulting even superior in interpretation in my opinion. @Sentence: with "the entire 'In perfetta solitudine'" I was referring to the whole album, and it seems I have had the chance to hear/disdain the Sassolinian "Caldo."

It’s advisable to report it via email (editors@debaser.it), otherwise they might read the request quite late (or perhaps never read it at all, who knows). Anyway, I believe the two things (the compositions that are still "fun" to listen to/play and the pathetic nature of the recent collaborations) can peacefully coexist.

I've read your first two lines, Syderus, and well, let's talk about it. What would a "Caldo," a "Gennaio," or the whole "In perfetta solitudine," sung by Sassolini, be? Come on.

I admit my "suggestion" to the reviewer was quite a stretch. But would you at least acknowledge that this spleen is more noticeable in the first two Dinosaur albums and less in the more pop-oriented Bug, without taking anything away from this other (his) great album?

Maybe I mean that, I can't explain it to you. But the ones you mentioned, I can tell you, are probably the influences and I wasn't talking about those.

You're not mistaken, it's the name of his band, which is still centered around the figure of Carlos.

Damn, Supernatural "really" celebrates its ten-year anniversary this year? I'm getting old.

Well, I am the first to not admit comparisons, even in the most striking cases, but if the reviewer really wants to make one, I would say it seems more fitting, FOR SONICITY (and not compositions, genre, or whatever), with the first two Dinosaur albums, that’s all. Anyway, excellent new school hardcore, now the review gains depth.

Oh yes, and which album was Stairway to Heaven on, huh? Anyway, it might be overrated, but 3? Come on.

@Fiquata: exactly. You talked about pop, and that’s precisely the side of Dinosaur Jr. that can least be compared to Husker Du, and that’s what I was referring to. Besides, as I said, I don’t see all these similarities between the two bands, but in the first two works of Dinosaur, you have rougher sounds that can be related to the comparison. If you prefer Bug, good for you, it doesn’t matter, and personally, I prefer the previous one. But that’s another discussion. I’m just saying it’s not normal to get so worked up when you simply haven’t understood a concept expressed by someone who knows better than anyone else, personally, what it was referring to.
