Splinter, you write well and also listen to good music, but you’re not objective. You give 5 stars to all the albums by Shadow Gallery, Pain of Salvation, and even Threshold. As if they were legendary bands like Led Zeppelin or Deep Purple... It’s certainly okay to give 5 stars to an album that you particularly like, but when you always and consistently give the highest score, you lose credibility. This is my opinion.

The description of the songs is good, but I don't agree with the idea of a transitional album or the band's uncertainties. In reality, Blue Oyster Cult has never made one album like another. They are among the most eclectic bands of all time. For me, this is one of their best albums, after Secret Treaties and Fire of Unknown Origin.

Congratulations on the review. Poetic but also descriptive. Just the way I like it!

I like the way you write, but I also love balance. As much as you manage to define the emotions this album has left you with, which are yours and subjective, you do not speak about the music and what it can offer to another listener. And for this reason, I cannot rate it as a review.

Fierogrind, I found it a bit difficult to understand this comment. Anyway, I don't dislike you. On the contrary, your reviews and the music you listen to definitely have me laughing my head off. A real assault on my jaws. More grindcore than this...

Thank you as well. @schizoid: I wrote this review keeping your advice in mind.

Thanks guys. I've left some samples to give you an idea of the music. @dream: I wasn't familiar with the mecca and I took a look at the cover. It seems quite different to me. As for the "felt" review, actually the introduction is a summarized (and interpreted) transposition of the album's lyrics. It's an experiment of mine.

I believe you are mostly being questioned about the lack of balance in the expressions you use. I find it normal for you to write reviews about albums that particularly move you. However, it is necessary to maintain a minimum level of objectivity, regardless of musical tastes, without giving 5 stars and using words like "masterpiece" for anything we like. Even if we like it a lot.

Oh my goodness, look at the reviews I have to read! Aside from the objective difficulty in reading the last part, I hardly agree with anything that’s been said. The album is beautiful, and I've been enjoying it for years now. I also really like the two that followed.

I have to say that the singer's voice is very beautiful. I liked some of their songs in the past. However, in the previous albums, I found a rather low average quality. As my teacher used to say: "they have the skills, but they need to apply themselves." You write very well.
