Panzzoone: always nice to see you. I know you have trouble with Italian, but just so you know, "cryptic" wasn't an insult. We've already discussed Lorca and Tim Buckley adequately, and I don't want to go back to that. As for Pink Floyd, if you don't believe my words, let me quote Wikipedia: "A Saucerful of Secrets is the work in which the greatest amount of sound experimentation appears in the discography of Pink Floyd: electronic noises, feedback, and oscillators." But there are other texts that discuss it if you want to dive deeper. As for the third one, I didn't understand it and I don't want to understand it.

Sometimes you’re too cryptic. Anyway, if you like VDGG, and only if you're interested, I reviewed another nice little band a while ago: Discipline. A shout-out to Uncle Basilio and remember... I'm waiting for your review.

If you're not interested, you can simply avoid them. But it's simplistic to generalize. In reality, prog metal, like all genres, goes through periods. And this is probably not a good one. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that there are still some good offerings. It's not the genre that relies on sterile technicalities; it's the bands that compensate for periods of lesser inspiration in different ways. This has happened even to sacred monsters like Yes after "Close to the Edge." But the same occurs in other genres as well, see Led Zeppelin after Physical Graffiti, for example.

I don't know these, and I thank you for the suggestion. You write well, but in my opinion, you should tone it down a bit. @nes: I have a feeling that deep down you'd like to listen to some prog, since you haven't been talking about anything else lately.

I thank all the people who passed by here. @prog rock: I see references to Jethro Tull more in their first album. @ivo: see, I occasionally think of you too? ;) @Pannzzoone swim: hey, you finally showed up in one of my reviews and you were quite generous. @fierogrind: there's a terrible intestinal virus going around, so maybe I'll also follow your suggestion! :D
