@morgan it seems inferior to me due to the terrible drawing, the unnecessary length, the fact that in order for something to happen you have to wait 10 episodes (beautifull docet) because the characters lack any depth (except for those introduced before Z, which, as I already said, was a really good cartoon).
I might be nostalgic when it comes to cartoons, that could be (even though the only cartoons I watch anymore are The Simpsons, South Park, and Futurama).
As for Miyazaki, Conan is a series, not a movie...

Has anyone ever noticed that Dragon Ball is the animated series with the most static images ever created? Minutes of monologues where the character's face is shown thinking, perfectly still... at least in Holly and Benji, their eyes would flutter. Dragon Ball is the worst Japanese product I've ever seen serialized in Italy, but whatever happened to animated series like I 5 Samurai, Lupin, I Cavalieri dello Zodiaco, Signora Minù, Carletto il Principe dei Mostri, Yattaman, Daitarn 3, Daltanius, Capitan Harlock, Galaxy Express, I Calendar Man, Devilman, Transformers (the current generations have the movie UAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA poor things), L'Uomo Tigre, Doraemon, Don Chuck Castoro, Fantaman, Mila e Shiro, Mimì, Ufo Robot, Gli Snorky, I Puffi, Gigi la Trottola, Rocky Joe, Shugar, Pollon, Ken Shiro, Mazinga Z, Sceriffi delle Stelle, Lady Oscar, Mask, Super Gattiger, Capitan Futuro, Strazinger, Occhi di Gatto, Re Artù, Sampei, Spiderman (the one from the '80s), Huck e Jim, Sazuke, Il Mago Pancione, Bia, Conan (the one by Toriyama, not the Barbarian...). Sigh, Dragon Ball isn't even worthy of being called an animated series.
