But look, Italian music is not doing badly at all! There’s an underground musical world (even in melodic pop) that deserves a lot. The problem is that if everyone does like you, buying records based on the rankings of tivù sorrisi e chanson, we’re in trouble. It’s clear that the references remain Amici, xfactor, and now Da-voiss. By the way, a wide range of listeners allows for better measurements: a couple of decent scouting sessions have been done by Amici. I don’t know Nardinocchi, but I saw his appearance at Sanremo and I liked his confidence and attitude. For the rest, and I’ll conclude, I don’t see anything wrong with keeping this blessed drawbridge (!?) raised. Who cares about abroad, our tradition must be maintained and, above all, respected. I shudder at the idea of a James Blake in Italian style. So far, the only one who has managed to find the right balance between Italianity and foreign influences in the mainstream is Tiziano Ferro. The others have strayed too far, and that's why no one pays attention to them, neither here nor there.

mmm I don’t quite agree. I've loved Suede since their beginnings, but the first two albums are unbeatable, especially DogManStar. This is a nice clone, at times embarrassing, of "Coming Up," which, although it was their most successful album, is the one that has aged the worst and that I listen to the least. Richard Oakes, I’m sorry, is not Bernard Butler; he doesn’t have his personality and especially the same "cazzìmma." The phenomenon, in my opinion, is the same as with The Smiths: two people capable of doing great things when together, but apart they get lost. Anyway, Brett is an amazing frontman with a truly insane voice.

you need to explain to me where you feel the 80s in Jamiroquai... the references are different.

Damn, but why does no one ever mention "Gone Again"? Damn, "Gone Again" is a great album in my opinion.

the cover is obviously ugly. I don't even like the idea. the album: I'll listen to it.

I don't know what I gave in the previous episodes. Anyway, the first 4 albums by Tori are all masterpieces (I mean the 4 "real" ones excluding "Y kant tui read"). Right now I'm more in the mood for little earthquakes but here’s Marianne, for me her manifesto song.

no come on...5 just doesn't fit. It has some really great tracks alongside weaker ones (the ones in English, for example). However, it definitely represented a big novelty in terms of sound. I repeat: for me, the peak will be in 1988 when the quality of writing, production, and vocal use will be at its highest. Here we are at a 3.5. Same rating for "adesso" from the following year.
