Great reception. Punny but what the hell are you saying! Blue back, direction of photography, computer effects… with a Mac today you can do everything in post-production. But can you really picture a Rousselot taking care of the photography of a coffin, ah ah! When I found out that "The Descent" was made in a room (the cave scenes), I couldn’t believe it. Every time I read about the MV, I feel like a dried-up turd. I just can’t get into them. I even saw them live. The spoken parts are one thing (to each their own), but it’s really the music itself that doesn’t grab me. Dynamically, it stays flat, a single mantra that after a while gets on my nerves... Similar are the Bachi (I think) that I avoid like the plague... Let’s just say it’s not the rock as I understand it. I’d like to give them a solid one... let’s say that remains implicit.

You can listen to them when you're 16 and say: what a blast! Once grown up, it remains pure aesthetics and great craftsmanship, but on an emotional level, there's really very little... then again, Alfieri remains their greatest piece.
