I miss this one by Mike Leigh. But I still remember very well the emotions it stirred in me with "Secrets and Lies" 15 years ago. A guaranteed director. Great review.

well COOLERMASTER. I agree with you even if I think you are too enthusiastic in supporting, even just partially, this latest film. yes, there are a couple of nice scenes (the first taxi scene in the rain and Brody's first monologue at the police station) but it really isn't enough. the taste of the Argentinian thriller can still be felt here and there, though. maybe we are too demanding?:-)

I'm listening to it. It really seems like a good album. Andy's electronics and Lou's voice have always seemed to me like a great match. Thank you. I'll hold off on the rating until I've listened to it more.

I saw this film about a year ago. It was terrible. Even worse than La terza madre. Honestly, I can say that if Argento has a story, he knows how to tell it. There are ways of using the camera that are uniquely his. This is also true for his latest works (I also save NON HO SONNO for its story and not just for the fantastic first 15 minutes). I think of some scenes from CARTAIO or the curious splatter of La terza madre. In GIALLO, there’s nothing: nonexistent story, awkward performances by Brody and Seigner. It’s true, there’s always the magic of Turin. But it’s not enough. However, up until OPERA included, Dario has set the standard.
