I tried to watch it. Second show on Saturday. At 11:35 PM we were both asleep. I'm very embarrassed; I usually love contemplative films. But it must have been the fatigue, the sadness of the Le Havre settings, the anxiety that the shoeshiner's wife instilled in me. In short, we left halfway through. Anyway, 9 times out of 10 French films are a hazard.

"Before starting these two lines, I want to express my absolute adoration for this man, for his vocal cords and for those Caspian hands that make his instrument sound so divinely." Woodstock, yeah, I would too... :-)

Yeah, he's great. He has written wonderful songs. But, I mean, come on. I want to say, aside from the songs with the Beatles, name one Paul song that has gone beyond the promotional phase tied to the album. Maybe that doesn't mean anything. Maybe it does. It's still a chapter of history. But at times I don't understand (kind of a similar story with Morrissey's career - which I love -).

I saw a video on YouTube of ilLO because he came to play a few kilometers away from me... unfortunately, the concert had already passed... he inspires me, even though he moves along a very crowded genre for which I have already defined some unmovable milestones (Elliott Smith, Nick Drake, Bon Iver). You, reviewer, I hate you: couldn't you have chosen another nickname? :-)

I didn’t like this review at all. Sometimes O_O you manage to be even more pretentious than I am :-) (...little whispered violences in oblivion, let slip into the ecstasy of the unconscious..meh!). And aside from the reference to the Sigur Ros (whom I can’t stand), I can’t understand what kind of music it is. I think we’re on Priscilla’s bus (you mention Antony and those masculine hands on the cover), which is good as far as I’m concerned, but at least include a sample..:-) Anyway, new things are always welcome..

Last Friday Night is a nice little song with a cute video and a funny lyric. But currently, the best in the genre are Sia Furler and Lily Allen.
