I'm listening to it along with the latest "Stranger Things" (I'm in the Almond phase haha see avatar). Anyway, I'm holding back for now. The thing that is convincing me the least is KRausharr's production, which uses the same synths as "the innocents" by Erasure, released two years earlier. By the way, that's the Erasure album I like the least. In terms of sound, it seems less impactful than "the stars we are" and much more dated. However, the songs themselves, the orchestrations, and the vocals are fantastic. ???

I say that the song "Never Ever" devours the entire discography of the Spice Girls. I still listen to it with great emotion. The review seems very accurate to me. But they will tear you apart :-)

I say that the cover of the year is this one. And maybe also the album Edda - Recensione - Odio i vivi (Cantautore, Noise, Alternativo)

This author seems interesting even though I think he reflects a decadent poetics that was very popular in the '90s, namely that of biology applied to literature. I think of German authors such as Hettche (nox) or Grünbein, or, going way back, Büchner. It's literature I know very well and with which I graduated. The theme of the wound, of the word as a scalpel, Benn and anatomy. In short, in the end, nothing new under the sun for me. He still seems particularly unpleasant to me, but who cares, even Busi is sometimes that way, but he is forgiven for how brilliant he is with a pen. Irrefutable review.

I respect and love you! An immense album in its genre. The only thing that stands above is "erasure" from '95 (and for me also Wild! from '89). There is no drop in quality. None. It's one of the first albums I learned to play and sing with my little guitar. Inspiring lyrics, fantastic voice, excellent harmonizations. Analogy and heart. A lot of Germany too (recorded in Hamburg). After the original cassette, I bought the Japanese edition on CD. Maybe it needs a remastering. Maybe not. 5, five and still 5!

this is one of my first reviews. it's a shame to have dismissed so quickly and poorly one of the most beautiful synth pop camp records of the 80's.
