Tiziano Ferro L'amore è una cosa semplice

but what courage and bravery! even though I am also an "adorer of the royal corn" (he’s not exactly my type while I believe I could be his, given his circle), I listened to Tiziano even before his outing. here on deB, the problem isn’t gay or not gay. it’s about musical skeletons (as far as one can consider them as such). so many of my peers here who are getting off on Jaco Pastorius surely forget that at 15 they had the tacky cassettes of the 883 (for whom they made a tribute. a tribute: can you believe it?) or they had the poster of Eddi and didn’t wash their hair for days (provocative moment). it’s about having respect for oneself and for one’s own "seasons." sure, it might seem a bit strange that at 36 one chooses to review Ferro while the new Buchanan is playing on the player, but who cares. I was bothered by all this hypocrisy: Ferro isn’t terrible. not in the objective sense of the term: he knows music, he has collaborated with Fossati, Battiato, Consoli. he has written for a bunch of artists with very respectable musical stories. but, simply, he doesn't belong to the majority of the average deB reader. therefore: I have courage but, don’t worry, I won’t come close to you nor touch you. kisses

The most beautiful thing about the whole "Ferro affair" was seeing how his coming out didn’t affect his artistic credibility in any way. Everyone said that the young girls would tear down the posters from the walls and that the concerts would turn into events for homosexuals. None of that happened: the young girls aren’t stupid; at fifteen, you want to dream, and Tiziano allows you to do that through his songs. Meanwhile, stoic gays prefer to keep going to see Anna Oxa and her outrageous shows (is that how you spell it?).

I'll read the review later. I've seen her too many times, I even have the CD. If you give her a 5, you have to give 15 to Calibro 35 or Donà (for example). She has never completely convinced me. Some songs are very beautiful (Saliva, Motel, with sunglasses) but she is still very immature in every aspect (compositional and performative).

jdv666: anyway, I know families of "old" people that have fallen apart because of the PlayStation. not to mention women on the brink of a nervous breakdown without the Wii tablet for GAG exercises.

Can I still say that video game reviews are one of the most annoying and useless things on the De-site? Can I?

However, "illiterate" is more ambiguous. It could be a "You" (Lei)... even though in grammar the masculine gender always prevails over the feminine one. And anyway, it's clear that that day I had my things going on. Forgive me.

I think Tiziano Ferro is tremendous in his genre. Nothing to do with "Antonacci, Nek, Paola e Chiara." Now, I don't want to delve into the why and how. It's something I feel in my gut because I "believe" in his songs. Not in the fake sentimental nonsense of Antonacci. He's also a good guy who has done the right work to get there. Damn, I was listening to these things at 10 years old (back then it was Cuori Agitati by EROS), and I don't feel like I've become dull or stuck. Not everyone has parents who shove James Brown or Patti Labelle into your ears while you're still in diapers. These are also mandatory listens during adolescence (like Vasco Rossi and Liga for the future rock enthusiasts). The important thing is to appreciate the honesty of the proposal, and Tiziano has always been consistent with his style. P.S. This is his best album.

Well, you placed Universal Mother on the same level as this stuff here. When I was gay at your age, I had better dilemmas. Like, I couldn't decide whether "Little Earthquakes," "blue lines," "matters of the heart," or "automatic for the people" was better. Different times.
