What an ugly cover! I don't like it, but the review is well-written as usual. By the way, why did you include a whole track as a sample? You only need 20-30 seconds!

the tank, the gas masks, the eagle, the writing, the "then the rocky and cadenced parts return along with the dark atmospheres that, besides brutalizing us properly, remind everyone that Death doesn’t need either posers with a featherlight touch or harmless little professors!" ......... in short, the usual triumph of stereotypes and clichés that the genre is full of. I don’t think the album will interest me, but aside from the overly emphatic tones, the review is well-written. (maybe some more bold text where useful, even just to lighten the reading, you could have included it though) ;)

The average of 4.5 (!) for this record (!!) and this band (!!!) says a lot about the criteria under which certain users vote on Debaser. Ok, let’s try to find a valid motivation: it can be liked; humans are naturally drawn to the extreme, and I would understand
but to what end express a vote if the genre offers no musical, artistic, thematic, or any other spark to judge? Well, aside from the fact that I don’t hear extremity in the genre, just a lot of boredom, I echo post 228! Sure, let’s all give it a 5 because they invented grind and etc. etc
but what kind of argument is that? How can you give a 5 to a grind record? And above all, please explain on what criteria you give a 5-4 to one grind record, rather than a 1-2 to another record of the same genre? Perhaps you judge the level of unlistenable-incomprehensibility of the guttural voice? The chaos produced? Who has the most unusual and brutal titles? Or maybe who makes the shortest tracks? The most violent covers? Who has the longest hair? Who poses as more "rough, damned, and evil" in press photos? The most chaotic drumming? Here lies the limit of this genre; it's all DAMNEDLY THE SAME, all terribly stereotyped. Whatever group you listen to, it always feels like you're hearing the same track again and again. Come on, I won’t even vote for the record; after all, they seem nice, they appear serious, no long hair, no clichés. I’m sure that Napalm Death have fun and have always had fun, not thinking they are making music or taking themselves seriously, but rather aiming for a lot of money from some frustrated veteran defender seeking new stimuli, or teenagers wanting to be alternative with the latest blackster or thrasher friend, like "yo I feel the most powerful stuff, I’m blasting grindcore, are you still stuck on those blecch albums." Sadness.

Well done, nice review. Back in the day, I really liked the sanremo song with the bagpipes, but I never explored it further or listened to anything else. That the Italians are only just now realizing it is unfortunately typical of our culture, and you did well to remind us of that.

For heaven's sake, 5 stars for Lars, I agree with the 5 posts that are fake and discounted like few others, only Dead American is salvageable, the rest is pretty much rubbish, just like with Rancid. Icnarf's comment is the best!

Damn, I used to come across it quite often googling long before I signed up for deb, just yesterday while checking your profile I found out it belongs to you! Very well done and let's hope the new album is better than ADP, which disappointed me a bit.
Pennywise About Time

@giustiziere: as learned from sfascia, it was also mentioned a while ago by cptgaio, it was a temporary ban, and it has obviously been revoked. As for icnarf, I don’t see how I could be interested in a comment from someone who praised sum41 (!) regarding the reviews about them, talking about “they had ideas, nostalgic pleasure, they weren’t bad.” Pennywise did melodic hardcore, and here no one has written anything that resonates like “pennywise are panc, they are pure hc, they are the best,” (!?) the review focuses a lot on that popular genre in the 90s (and the comparison with br), which produced many clones, but also valid realities like pw; if you had read it instead of just dropping your 1, you would have noticed. But whatever! @gummo: “joking about celebrity suicides”? well, that’s definitely in poor taste! If you know the album, comment on that, not on Jason’s death. I hope you seriously wrap it up with the inappropriate comments; a page about a good album, as it has often turned into the usual blend of insults and obscenities, with only about ten comments related to the subject. Let’s put it to rest; it’s better to keep talking about music, right? Why continue with those ramblings and forum flames about Tokyo Hotel? Bye. Y
