a very valid band, let’s say they have spoiled us too much with their past albums, but this spin moon magic is not to be thrown away.. forsaken is then fantastic, far from the glories of nuda veritas & co but still an appreciable album!

Good review, although at times a bit too cryptic. I own the album and I must say I really resonate with your opinions. It all feels like stuff I've heard before, but it's also true that creating a personality in this genre has become quite difficult now that it is too standardized and rigid. The best moments of the album indeed come in the early tracks; the cover of "Danzig" is remarkable, and in my opinion, the best is "A Bittersweet Tragedy." For the rest, it’s really a shame about the interludes and theme variations that, as mentioned, often come off as lacking personality and are too brief; they could have been handled better. The album loses steam towards the end, and the desire to stop it after track 6 is not small... An album that's a 3, with few expectations; it’s sufficient, but there's better out there.

Good review, well written, I appreciated the album as well, definitely superior to the previous works (like the barely sufficient Atlantis). Emocean and especially Words Unleashed (beautiful) stand out; for the rest, some tracks are decent, it’s not an album that drives you crazy, but it’s not a bad work either, let’s just say it’s easy to listen to. Finally, I completely agree with this point -> “The edge of infinity will surely raise eyebrows among narrow-minded metalheads, who embody a toughness sometimes merely on the surface, more necessary to appear alternative than to be true fans of the most emotional music.” I can only agree with you, just for this I’ll raise the review score from 4 to 5 :D good.
