For me, it's absurd that there are 10, sometimes 15, 16 reviews of the same album; imho the editors should only keep the most valid ones and eliminate or at least not accept the less worthy ones (this is not the case here, as this one is written very well, as mentioned). AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Metallica, GNR... how many reviews will there be for these bands in particular?!?!?

Brusko, no offense, but you probably don't know the genre, so why assert false and entirely unfounded claims? First of all, the first albums of modern R&B (I'm not referring to classic R&B like Aretha, Etta James, Vandross, and company) but rather the new school that I've actually discussed here dates back to the early 90s. Let's think of the records by Aaliyah, DC, the same 1994 debut by Brandy, Boyz II Men, India Arie, MJB (the latter never appreciated) whose "What's the 411" can be defined as one of the first albums of the genre and, in any case, a source of inspiration for many artists that would come later (along with the others mentioned). So '99 means nothing; by then the genre was already well defined!
You might hear some pop in it, and that's fair enough; you can't deny it, it's true in some productions. Let's call it the pop of Black artists. But broadly speaking, it has nothing to do with pop. The productions have nothing to do with hip-hop (at least not the current ones), the styles and beats are completely different. I'm not speaking from what I read on Wiki; I've known the genre quite well for 14 years. Whether or not it appeals to me is another story; I don’t even like the current stuff, it's too commercialized and pop-friendly! I liked it especially in the late 90s, which is why I enjoyed this album too, as it reminded me a lot of those sounds. So a piece of advice: if you don’t know the genre, nobody is stopping you from expressing your personal opinion, but for what absurd reason invent false things?!
As for Mariah, I honestly don't like her, but saying she couldn't sing is absolutely wrong. In her younger years, she had an insane voice and reached monstrous vocal ranges! Those exaggerated high notes with the accompanying “uh uh oh oh” that you mention can indeed be irritating and extremely annoying, I won’t argue with you; it's one of the reasons I absolutely can't stand her. De-saluti!

"At the end of 2008, we finally have the chance to get our hands and ears on the new work of 'Guns N' Roses.' A work that should rightly be defined as Axl Rose's grand project. A lifetime's project. For those who don’t know (but I think they're really few), the 'Guns N' Roses' are now dead and buried. Now… read the rest."

"November 23, 1993: 'The Spaghetti Incident?' is released, the last album by Guns N' Roses. Not even a studio album, but a punk and glam cover album, what could nowadays be called a blatant 'commercialization.'
