Great CLAISDEAD! Negazione, perhaps the greatest Italian band of all time...anyway, nice page, it's good to see that there are people who remember that there was a lot of "real" music in Italy once. @ VORTEX: in my opinion, it wasn’t overrated; just to give two examples, RAW POWER and the same NEGAZIONE really did something innovative for their time.

@BUBI: I must have explained myself poorly then. My response to GGJUNIOR, if you read the first sentence, was indeed centered around what you say. Speaking of the musical aspect, I gave this album a 4, I enjoy listening to it, and if he then tells me that they have little to do with the old HC, I can't contradict him because it's true. Anyway, I listen to many contemporary HC bands, and there are a few that I really like (108, CASUALTIES, 59 TIMES THE PAIN, 7SECONDS, ABHINANDA, BIOHAZARD, BOUNCING SOULS, CONCRETE SOX, some albums by JINGO DE LUNCH, the first SOULFLY, EYEHATEGOD, HATEBREED, SNAPCASE, MADBALL).

@G.G.JUNIOR: no no, I understand your reasoning, and I share it to some extent; I was just focusing on the musical aspect. I love the sounds (talking about punk and HC) of the '80s, which is why I enjoy listening to bands that reproduce them, even if nostalgia hits me hard, the social context has changed (for the worse), people's mentality has changed (let's not get into that), and I agree that some attitudes are now outdated. Nevertheless, for all the good bands out there today, nothing can compare to the feeling of listening to MINOR THREAT, DEAD KENNEDYS, DISCHARGE, D.R.I., etc...

For me, HC also means something different; the fact is that I don't disdain bands that evoke that '80s punk sound, especially since there aren't many around. Or I can play it safe and listen to the early albums by DISCHARGE… good times.

Great album, even though I listened to it a while ago and I can't find it anymore; my computer is a mess, I just throw stuff in there for convenience, but in the end, I never find anything. @ICNARF: the bands A' LA (poetic license?) Casualties might suck, but you have to appreciate the fact that they propose a genre that these days surely wouldn't make it on MTV...

Maybe also because it was one of my first horror movies, I seem to remember watching it at 6-7 years old, it’s really beautiful and unique. Great review, I like the fact that you give the readers a say on the rating.

I am not an admirer of IMPALED NAZARENE, but I have listened to this album several times with pleasure. Nice review.
