Nice review. A book I've never read, and never even remotely thought of doing so. The reason is as simple as it is subjective and perhaps wrong for some: but with all the books that are already known to be VALID (classics, musical biographies, some historical novels, current affairs or in-depth books), why should I bother reading a thick tome of who knows how many kilos of pages written by someone who one day decided to become a great writer?
