Post 82 is shocking. It's unbelievable that there are people who think this way. I can't get my head around it. I mean, if a woman becomes a widow, she can't raise her son, right? "He must be among men." You're one of those who thinks that if a child appreciates painting or dancing... it’s a beating! Those aren’t things for a man! Good grief!

So if I understood correctly, post 74: man --> goes to work --> home --> rests in bed --> with woman. Yes, this flow-chart seems adaptable to a human life full of satisfaction. In prehistoric times.

"That gay guy I had in my class was an only child; his father was a teacher at the high school, and his mother was a finance officer, no joke. Other gay people I've known had pretty messed-up families, though." I wish I had a "messed-up" family like that. Can you explain to me why that family would be "messed-up"? Ah, I get it, how stupid of me! Because the woman (inferior to the man) doesn’t stay at home to be a housewife! Or she doesn’t have a job so the male-boss-master can say, "I work more than you." I wonder why I feel this atmosphere of socio-cultural regression in Italy... meh... maybe it’s just me being strange...

"First they came for the gypsies and I was happy because they were stealing.
Then they came for the Jews and I stayed quiet because I didn't like them.
Then they came for the homosexuals and I was relieved because they annoyed me.
Then they came for the communists and I didn't say anything because I wasn't a communist.
One day they came for me and there was no one left to protest." [Bertolt Brecht]

Okay, after marking comment number 16 from OLEEINAR as BELO, I’d like to say that it seems to me the most appropriately succinct. @Gasta: yes, I had already read it, anyway if one thinks without blinders, scientific confirmation is not necessary; human acceptance from those who are not identical to us is enough. I’ll just add a thought from the greatest German playwright that ever existed, in the next post so as not to mix his greatness with the mediocrity of my words.

Ah, I see that for you "seduction" is a showgirl on a talk show. Got it. I hope you’re not really convinced about what you wrote in your last post; centuries ago, homosexuality was perhaps more widespread than it is now, not to mention the Greeks who didn’t differentiate between homosexuality and heterosexuality, and long before the so-called "decline." If for you it’s acceptable to beat someone for their sexual inclinations, as often happens in our cities, then let’s just say I see it differently.

Grandiose! "Gay Propaganda"! I wanted to start with a silly joke too, but yours is unbeatable. By the way, earlier on TV it seemed to me (but I might be wrong) that there was a half-naked showgirl winking at the host...HETERO PROPAGANDA?

And since working with people who are unwell is "playing to lose," what do you do for a living, just out of curiosity?

That said, I want to tell you that I prefer cleaning butts rather than spending hours on the phone chasing after doctors, negotiating with secretaries from other departments, or trying to track down relatives of patients who don’t want to be found. I prefer cleaning butts than looking someone in the eye and telling them, "Your husband has passed away, I'm sorry." I prefer cleaning butts than spending an hour in front of the computer inputting consultations. I prefer cleaning butts than keeping a child attached to a machine in Pediatric Dialysis calm for 3 hours. I prefer cleaning butts than performing CPR for half an hour in 30 degrees of temperature. I prefer cleaning butts than deciding where to place the 35th patient in a ward meant for 30 people. And I tell you that I would only clean butts rather than witness every day how healthcare is falling apart while trying to give it a shiny, high-tech image of well-being.

I absolutely do not want to stir up controversy, but Fiquata, you have to admit that your comment in post 37 is at least arrogant and offensive, and it is evident that you’re talking about things you don’t know. I don't think you are very informed about what a nurse's duties are these days within a facility (because nurses aren’t only in hospitals, you know?). That said, "cleaning butts" (a task of both healthcare operators and nurses) doesn’t seem to me to be morally shameful or intellectually inferior, as if a farmer or a worker in waste disposal must necessarily be less intelligent than someone who does another job.
