you'll have SAGE in the garden!!! .....no, capers, you need to subtract 30 from 47, then it becomes 17!!! ....now the matter is closed!!!

@The green manalishi: "the only thing that's a bit off is the experimental Providence"... no offense, I'm calling you to listen... dear Federico, (are you really 14 years old???) and anyway, if you like Dream Theater, don't worry, I like them too, and you'll have time to listen to other things and then rank them however you want... King Crimson and Red will still be among your favorites in 50 years... great album!!!!

I don't think King Crimson fall short in the discussion... up until Red and not beyond, only masterpieces, then some highly debatable stuff. Their musical commitment and consistency in experimentation definitely give them an extra point, but even here, they’re Fripp-dependent... Collins-dependent... the early works of great bands are always a different story, and no one is eternally brilliant... everyone has had their downward trajectory, the Kings included. Nonetheless, great, like Genesis.

so many saws!!!!.....like, don’t like, whatever, but to say that U2 don’t exist musically and that Bono is a flop of a singer is as biased as saying they are monsters!!!.....the last good album, then I skip to "Pop", then nothing...the earlier stuff is all good!!......as for Bono as a character, maybe he did it for the money, but at least he offers a bit more than many others who only care about the cash, at least!!!

I care about them too much to massacre them this way!!!... of course I agree on many things, but at least acknowledge the good intention of trying to renew themselves in a landscape that, especially in the early '80s, mortified, massacred, and destroyed anything related to prog... think about the end that the Gentle Giant, King Crimson, Jethro Tull, and Van der Graaf Generator faced... Yes, they sold out, but what a massacre of criticism!!!!... and here I think the matter is a bit different from Genesis; perhaps their inability to renew themselves has cost them many slaps and quite a few stomach aches (me included!!!)... the Genesis from "And Then There Were Three" are the result of the new master (Collins), and the departure of Hackett (as important as Gabriel in my opinion for the Genesis sound)....... a pathetic ending, I agree, but at least save them up until then, please!!!!!!!!

@HEADPHONES "that is to say a mediocre pop band with few ideas, weak and confused despite millions of records sold"....how can you write such things???...I'm not a die-hard fan of post-70s production, but you can't relegate Genesis to a mediocre band....in my opinion, the entire Gabriel era is a masterpiece, but "A Trick of the Tail," "Wind & Wuthering" are absolute masterpieces, not to mention perhaps one of the most beautiful live albums in music history "Seconds Out"....the rest is certainly declining while still maintaining more than a decent standard......there must be a reason if Genesis is perhaps the only prog group that survived the 80s, the only band that started selling records (even the old ones) while the others disappeared. I don't have the box set and can't comment on the sound, I can only tell you that vinyl (the thick one like a finger) never disappoints!!!!

I was 15 when Samarcanda came out, and it was love at first sight!! Thirty years of albums, all of high quality in my opinion, beyond the average of a singer-songwriter scene that has certainly become poorer over the years. Vecchioni has always given me great emotions; his love songs, his disappointments, his anger, the irony in his lyrics, have often mirrored my own feelings.....I have always loved to interpret his poems and discover how mundane they could be and how skillfully reality could be transformed into melody......and I agree with SORALUDOVAIKA, his latest works are perhaps more beautiful than those of yesteryear, which is rare in such a long career, with a full 10 for the knife thrower and for this one filled with anger and stars. Il cielo di Auserlitz, Non lasciarmi andare via, Non amo piu', Tu quanto tempo hai......my favorites, LE ROSE BLU the masterpiece of the album, bringing a lump in my throat every time I listen to it!!!!
