In my opinion, Masada is the most successful thing of his career. I have considerably downplayed Zorn in recent years, but he has still been very influential in my musical education. Also, you should correct the year; Zorn was born in 1953.

To me, this doesn’t seem like a proper album. The indulgent intertwining of Mr. Bungle had a strong personality, which is lacking in this record; the sonic materials of Secret Chiefs are too derivative and disconnected, there’s no sign of emulsion or originality.
