I wouldn't quite call it pure experimentation; it's an "avant-prog" that's not overly sophisticated, with strong Eastern influences; polka and metal. If you like the genre, or rather the non-genre, you can find better.

What a wonder to receive such great news today, with a writing of such significance. Voivod has always stood out in the thrash scene and I have always been a big fan of theirs. Now that I know the prog scene and related styles in Quebec, I might even speculate that this uniqueness of theirs is cultural. Post-thrash for a band formed in '82?
