@BARTLE: but you know that I can't quite place him either? XD I think he's with a model...Wikipedia (EN) will tell you everything you want to know. @VOODOO: thanks for the comment, but I don't understand that 'PhD' towards the end :) Anyway, far from considering myself an expert on Interpol, I've only been following them for about a year (alas)!

Hello Bartle...well, it seems like nobody cares about the review :) So...if you’ve listened to the sèmpol, you’ve probably noticed there are several things that stray from Interpol; there are only a few tracks where you could draw a parallel, but the rest is largely different. I recommend giving it at least a couple of listens. Anyway, I liked the latest Interpol album. Okay, there aren't absolute peaks like 'Stella Was A Diver...', 'NYC', or 'Evil', but it’s a good record. What can I say, eat more vegetables :P Regarding the TBT: I did it because the album is very varied and I tried - I hope successfully - to focus solely on the distinctive features (instruments/sounds/"particular" effects, and so on), and not on a pointless, sterile, lengthy, and exhausting analysis of every single passage (in fact, I've spent about a line on each track - in some cases even less). I hope some other traveler passes by here :)

DEAR EDITORS: excuse me, could you replace "blues-jazzy" with "bluesy"? That 'jazzy' might be a bit misleading... Thank you very much!

4.5 that I round up. Really a great movie. The review seems a bit confusing though.

Uhm, I don’t know what grade to give… the opening triplet is fabulous, really - "Saturday's Child" is almost tear-jerking! - but then the central part strays too much in my opinion from those 3 tracks (both in quality and stylistically). If I had to rate the first 3, I’d definitely give them a 5, but the rest is a stretched 3… only "Archangel" somewhat lifts the ending. I'll settle for a 3, period :) Detailed and comprehensive review.

An album I still need to process but it truly deserves it. "Evil" is one of the most beautiful songs they've ever written, stunning!

Not bad. But it's true that it lacks an absolute peak... for me, the best is still "No I In Threesome."
