Radiohead The King Of Limbs: Live from The Basement
Voto:
I take advantage of this review that I hadn't really seen to digress a bit and say that anyone who chooses Creep as their favorite Radiohead song is really annoying. Enough with this Creep here and there; yes, it’s a nice song, but damn, they’ve put out so much better stuff that eifhruifrhuigfh. I mean, just to stick to the pre-masterpiece period, a random High And Dry beats it 100 to 1.

I'm just coming back to say, to anyone praising the album for its innovative approach of a voice completely detached from the music that speaks over the beat, that someone came before them...

Oooooh but if you want to read it in parts, just say so, okay? :D In fact, those were my personal thoughts regarding the album and Chickenfoot specifically (since we’re talking about them); I simply said that "it's not my thing anymore." The rest that I wrote follows after that.

If it's like the first one, I don't think it will interest me; I'm no longer made for anachronistic music. For heaven's sake, it's not that I dislike the genre per se, it's the way it's presented—staying the same for years—that bothers me. The problem with rock in the strict sense is exactly this: it hasn't managed to reinvent itself yet. It can't sound anything but current (not modern, a term I despise), or even just "fresh." Just look at what they call indie rock now in 2011: basically, the way these bands carry on with music is by rehashing the sounds of the '80s. It seems to me there’s been a stagnation in the genre lately. But maybe I'm the one misjudging my perspective. To put it differently, if I want to see innovation or even just freshness, I have to look elsewhere; this music doesn't aim for that but simply seeks to stir emotions today as it did twenty (or even thirty?) years ago. Setting aside my personal (mental gymnastics) considerations, the review is excellent.
Poker Italia 24 Palinsesto Quotidiano

If a pro poker player or something similar (and not just a regular guy sitting at a table with friends while holding a whisky) hears someone say "it's all luck," they probably shudder... I often play poker with friends (indeed), not for betting but just for the pleasure of it. However, spending time with people who play at serious levels to earn some extra cash, I've learned how marginal a role luck plays. There are certain statistical and probability calculations you have to do that often leave you in the lurch... This is why, in the end, it really only counts as luck: because no one wants to do the math (not even that elementary) while playing, and they just go with the flow. I rate the reviewed item (sic) based on trust. I like poker, as I've said, but 24/7 that's a drag...

Am I the only one who likes the new Cynic album (Traced In Air has never lost its impact) and finds Focus pretty boring (except for 2-3 tracks)? I’m voting based on trust.

Why didn't it give me a 1 even though I selected it?

I give it a 1 regardless, after Mustaine got my hopes up when he said this album would sound like a jam between Black Sabbath and QOTSA, and instead it's the same old thrash metal that's been overcooked for years.

After years, I have come to the conclusion that it is a MASTERPIECE. Untitled #8 is one of the most beautiful songs of the new millennium.
