Tom Waits Bad As Me
Voto:
This "up" from the review prompted me to reread all the comments. And it made me ask myself a question I often ask: But what the hell reason does someone in music have to refrain from having different tastes while shitting on the "historical and canonical stuff" for their own, very personal reasons, without being accused of snobbery and cheap alternative-ism at all costs? You all annoy me, seriously. And I take it personally, since I'm one of those people. Can't I say that Ian Gillan sucks? And why? Because he sang in Deep Purple, a historically famous band that no one would dare say anything against for the above reasons? Well, they suck too. Am I breaking some law by hating them? And why?

I would really like this album a lot and I'd give it a 5, if it weren't for the fact that... I get that you have very little left to be labeled as death tout-court, but you can't blast over purely atmospheric and post-y bases :D that's why I’m dropping it to a 4. (Anyway, I've always considered Unexpect, for some reason, a bluff.)

Anyway, I've been thinking about it lately in the last few days... Am I the only one to consider Neurosis, in the post-metal/post-core/post-almarket landscape, the only band definable as "adult"? Not in the "grown-up" sense, but just listening to one of their songs, especially when compared to songs from other bands in the scene, even established and big ones (like Isis?), the definition that immediately comes to my mind is "more adult." It might be in the sounds, the ideas, the arrangements, I don't know... But it is.

One day people will understand that all music is bad and they will stop arguing about it.

Damn, this 2011 is full of surprises... I don’t know these guys, I assume they’re newcomers, I’ve never heard of them. What do they do that’s cool? Is this album available? Great recommendation, I’m going to look for it right away!

EP with a vengeance. Prayer is annihilating and the rest is no less, not to mention the bursts of An Offering with exaggerated tremolo. But have these gentlemen ever made a mistake?

I always associate stoner with warm and desert-like atmospheres... And are there Swedes doing it? Awesome!
Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats Blood Lust

Cool, yes, very cool. One of those albums that can sound like 2011 while remaining anchored to sounds from, I don’t know, forty years ago?
My Bloody Valentine Loveless
Voto:
Personally, I prefer 6 reviews of Loveless than 19 of the new drim tiater. What the heck.

I stick to the vote without going into details. By the way, am I the only one who has 'High And Dry' by Radiohead as their favorite song? I find very few people who praise it.
