Abramakabra The Imaginarium

Listening now... Well, it doesn’t really sound like pure noise; I hear a lot of doom (at times, on the second track, it almost sounds stoner dronish), but for now, I like it. I'll give my verdict at the end of the listening session.

I listened to it very briefly overall, I concentrated almost all my listens as soon as it was released, but I admit I didn't like it. Too showy and a bit wordy. Nice Disease, etc., and also the intro of Fossil Genera (sometimes I don't understand if they're geniuses or just messing with us), but the rest bores me. I much prefer Colors and, in my opinion, their best, The Silent Circus.

It's the first thing I listened to from Verdena, I admit, also because I read an interview (I believe) where they mentioned a few various influences: Flaming Lips and Kyuss above all. So, I gave it a chance, I listened to it... After 5 tracks I turned it off, with only one reason, and one question: Does the voice always sound so terrible? :D

I haven't listened to this, but I've heard some bad things about it. Great analysis, though, as always. By the way, have you heard the latest Locrian? If not, I think it might be right up your alley. (Even though it has very little to do with the subject of the review :D)
Swans My Father Will Guide Me Up a Rope to the Sky

For me, album of the year by a long shot. Throughout the year, I never found anything I liked as much as this album. I assert without fear that I consider it among their best albums. I was waiting for this review, and the wait paid off big time.
EyeHateGod In the Name of Suffering

"The landscape they paint is the everyday one, both metropolitan and provincial, the oil stains on dirty snow, the chimneys of factories constantly smoking, the daily squalor that has perpetuated for time immemorial, and the cold, once again the cold, but this is the cold that exists in the minds and hearts of the people present, the cold and the desert." I don’t know, listening to it reminds me of the house on the cover, but in ruins, mud, filth. And while listening to the album, it feels like I can truly touch that shit. As for the rest, I liked it. The album, well, simply splendid. That sick whistle that opens every piece, the battered and battering pace...

Aside from the fact that he has the exact same name as a former classmate of mine from middle school, and maybe it is actually him, I am puzzled by the last three comments.
Truce Baldazzi Vendetta Vera

I hate La Scuola, the album of the year 2011 by a long shot. At the end of the video, Truce makes bombs with the shopping bag because he is NEGATIVE.
